For the Days You’re Tired of Being Strong

Some days, strength feels like a costume you’re too tired to wear.
You wake up already exhausted—not from what you did yesterday, but from everything you’ve carried for far too long. You’ve been strong for others. Strong through loss. Strong through silence. Strong when no one noticed how much it cost you.
And today… You’re tired.
Tired of holding it together.
Tired of being the one who survives.
Tired of pretending you aren’t breaking in quiet places.
No one tells you that strength can become heavy or too much.
No one warns you that always being “the strong one” leaves little room to rest and makes you a little crazy.
But hear this gently:
You are not weak for feeling this way.
You are human.
There are days when strength doesn’t want to stand tall.
It slows down.
Like breathing through the pain.
Like letting yourself sit instead of rising.
You don’t have to prove anything today.
You don’t have to carry everyone else’s weight.
You don’t have to earn your rest.
If all you can do is exist—
That is enough.
And if you need permission to soften, to pause, to stop pushing for just a moment—
Let this be it.
You are still strong, even here.
Especially here.
You’re welcome to rest awhile within my journal. Kick you feet up. Release and breathe.
